A while back, I was contacted by Gina asking about photographing her mother and family when they came to town to celebrate her mother’s birthday. I love birthdays so I was excited. Gina’s mother has celebrated over eighty years, and she is still going strong–and has a great sense of fashion. Their family was so much fun to be around, and seeing their photos had a smile on my face the entire time I was retouching them.
Years ago, I went to get my hair fixed for a friend’s wedding, and Lori ended up being the one who did my hair. 10 years and bunches of hair appointments later, I feel like I know her. For whatever reason, a woman’s hair appointment often becomes a sharing session so your hair stylist can become a friend… and that’s how I feel about Lori. She is a wonderful woman who has been through some hard times but has come out stronger for it, and she is one of the few “true” Christians that I know–always thinking of others and helping those in need. Unfortunately, I don’t know Paul as well, but from what I’ve seen, he’s a great guy. You can tell by the pictures that they are crazy about each other. Congratulations, Lori
If you are looking for a fun couple to hang out with, I have one right here. They are veterans of the Smokies–having visited here several times, and they decided to get married in a cabin in Gatlinburg. You may be able to tell from the photos, but Deb’s favorite color is purple. I believe someone asked about it while I was there, and her response was something like, “Is there any other color?” They had a lovely ceremony with their friends and family followed by some posing on motorcycles and a great reception. FYI, their cake was made by Shannon at Cakes by Bakin’ Bishop, and it was adorable. Her cakes are always gorgeous, and she makes the best buttercream icing you will ever taste. Anyway, on to the pictures. That’s what you’re here for, right?

Around 1 year ago, Allison and Ben had a quick private ceremony. He deployed, he came back, and now they’re doing it again for the family.She set up her entire wedding from out of state, made a lot of the details like the jewelry for the bridesmaids, and still managed to look great for her big day! I had so much fun with them–as I’m sure you can tell from their photos. I have been very blessed lately to have been selected to photograph several military weddings, and each time is just as touching as the last. Allison and Ben’s ceremony was held at Almost Heaven Sky Site in Gatlinburg, Tennessee which has an amazing view. Then, we headed to the Von Bryan Estate in Wear’s Valley for their ceremony.
